Sits at the halfway point on Tottori-do highway connecting the Kansai and San’in Sea of Japan areas. Surrounded by lush mountains, “Awakurando” houses a few establishments offering meals and space by the river for a refreshing respite.
The restaurant’s staff recommend special lunch menus which change every season featuring the local produce.
A souvenir section has a variety of food items which best represent “local taste” including handmade products and traditional sweets from the Sea of Japan coast and the local Okayama area.

The outside food shop offers ice cream with rare muscat green grape flavour, which is very popular!  Locally created fish burger “Awakura De Ai”  has been a best selling item.

Also udon and soba noodles are available.

The indoor souvenir shop has traditional confectionery representing a wide range of regions from Okayama, Tottori to Northern Hyogo.
